Phototoelectric effect

Photoelectric effect:-
It is given by Einstein (nobal price 1921)
According to this effect when some radiation of certain frequency false on the surface of metal then electron are ejected from metal.
This phenomenon is known as photoelectric effect.
The ejected electron are known as photon electrons.
By the help of this effect we can genrate a spectroscopy spectroscopy which provides quantitative analysis of surface properties.
Every metal has a certain minimum frequency of incidents light to ejected electron this frequency is known as thersold frequency  (Vo)
The kinetic energy of the ejected electron directly perposnal to the frequency of incidents light but does not depends on the intensity of light the number of ejected electron from the metal surface increase with increasing the intensity of incidents light.
Explain  of photoelectric effect :-
According to Einstein when a photon of frequency false on the surface electron.
In this process a certain amount of energy is used up in ejecting the electrons from the metal this energy is called work function of the metal.
The difference of the energy of photon and work function of the metal would be as kinetic energy to the ejected electron..
