By the help of this we can explain various vibrational transition during electron transition
According to this principle electronic transition in a molecule take place so fast that inter nuclear distance remain unchanged this statement frank condon principle .
We have know selection rule for the vibrational transition during electronic transition so all possible transition can make place so we observed different intensity of lines for different type of line for different type of vibration transition.
We can be explain by following diagram .
Case-1:-
If bond length and inter nuclear distance remain same both ground state and exitate state when transition state from v=0 ,v'=0 take place dominantly so we observe most intance line due to zero to zero transition.
Case-2:-
If internuclear distance in exitate state is increases than transition from v=0 to v'=2 take place dominantly so we observe most intance line 0 to 2 transition.
