👍Powder method :-
                               इस विधि मे एक वरणीय (monochromatic) प्रकाश का प्रयोग किया जाता है अर्ताथ इस विधि मे तरंगदैर्ध्य का मान हमेशा नियत रहता है।
इस method का विकास peter debye और scherrer के द्वारा सन 1916 मे किया गया था।
इस विधि मे सैंपल को चूर्ण (powder)  के रूप मे लिया जाता है। तथा इसमे एक फोटो फ़िल्म का प्रयोग किया जाता है,  इसमें सैम्पल को एक ग्लास tube मे रखा जाता है।
इस विधि मे x-rays कि तरंगदैर्ध्य का मान नियत रहता है
इसमें x-rays beam (किरण ) 2थीटा angle पर प्रकिण्त होती है तथा फोटोग्राफिक प्लेट cone shape के spot प्राप्त होते है।

इसमें प्रत्यक किरण लाइन इंडेक्स के रूप मे होती है जिनके मदय दुरी x होती है।
इस विधि के द्वारा क्रिस्टल कि सरचना का पता लगाया जाता है, तथा इस विधि मे क्रिस्टल मे उपस्तिथ परमाणुओ के मदय दुरी का पता लगाया जाता है.
इस विधि के द्वारा पदार्थ कि अवस्था का पता लगाया जाता है।
Powder method :-
This method is used when single crystal are not available and the substanc in present powder form it is an alternate techniques lowes method and watched develop by peter debye and scherrer in 1916.
The expremental powdered crystal is taken in a walled glass tube (p) and the tube is allowed to placed at the center of a circular photographic plate.
An x-rays beam of non wave length is allowed to fall on the glass tube.
Since all posible orientation are present in the powdered crystal so the x- rays coming at thita angle to the powdered crystal get diffracted at 2 thita angle with the diraction of incident  rays in cone shape on the ph otographic plate.

The linear distance between the sports photographic plate is major with the scale as after obtaining the pattern the lines are index.

The distance 'x' of each line from the central spot is measured usually by having the two reflaction and either side of the center.
If are is the radious of the fill its area will 2^r which corresponding two scattering angle of 360°
Uses of powder method :-
                                          1. Identification of the sample of solids.
2. Determine the phase diagram of solids.
3. Determination of dimention and symmetry of unit cell.
